This journal records information and opinion to do with the use of recreational substances. The goal is to achieve real-world discussion based on evidence and experience.
I think that the law surrounding the use of recreational substances is based in a belief that altering one's mindstate artificially using chemicals is somehow morally wrong.
I would like to see these laws created based on evidence of actual harm, and for substances that are currently illegal or restricted to be on a level playing field with alcohol when examining policy.
Comment is welcome. I am searching for logical arguments for AND against the use of recreational substances. If you have one, especially one that includes evidence of actual harm when compared with other recreational activities that are not illegal, or a strong argument based in morality, I would like to hear it. All posts are public.
Feel free to comment anonymously. Please don't comment on topics such as accessing or purchasing illegal substances, or while under the influence of illegal substances. While I would like to see change in the illegal status of recreational chemicals, while they are still illegal discussion of specifics of illegal activity on this journal will be deleted.
